Important Notice - Cold Weather

To All Parents/Guardians, Students and Teachers

In Eeyou Istchee, winter weather is a part of life and to be expected. This may include: extreme cold temperatures, wind chills, blizzards, heavy snow fall, and ice storms. It's important for parents to know that schools need to remain open even under the most severe weather conditions to provide attending students with a safe and secure environment. Parents, teachers, and students should assume that schools are open unless you hear otherwise through the media or directly from the school.

Welcome to our updated website

We recently performed a technology and content upgrade on our website. Since little change has been made to the site structure, you’ll still find all official Cree School Board documents, and information about our organization, current job opportunities, key contacts and much more!

What you’ll notice is an improved user experience:

  • “Modernized” look and feel and clearer navigation
  • Enhanced search engine
  • Consistent school pages, by location, with hours of operation, school calendar, and contact directory
  • Information on the James Bay territory and Cree culture and values
  • Mobile device compatibility

Enjoy your visit!

You are an employee? Get more details on the enhancements and your employee tools in the website FAQ.
