Each year, dozens of tradespeople and artisans graduate from vocational programs at Sabtuan Adult Education Services. Entrepreneurship is an exciting possibility for these graduates. Starting a business is also a dream for many others throughout Eeyou Istchee.
Upcoming programs at Sabtuan Regional Vocational Training Centre (SRVTC) will help community members turn these entrepreneurial ambitions into a reality.
SRVTC has announced several Spring 2019 programs that respond to the growing demand for Cree-owned businesses across Eeyou Istchee. Two new programs, “Starting a Business” and “Construction Business Management,” will focus on entrepreneurial skills and knowledge. Other vocational programs will include competencies that can be used to build mechanical contracting, tourism, or sports-related businesses in the future.
